Fischer's Kennels & Hunt Club, Inc. offers basic and intermediate through advanced training. We encourage owner participation at all levels and also encourage dogs to return annually for refresher courses and physical conditioning.
Basic Training ProgramWe define "basic training" as the minimum amount of training your dog should have before taking it to the field. At this level, dogs are introduced to basic obedience as well as electric collar conditioning using low level stimulation designed to enhance your dogs behavior. For all electric collar training, we use and recommend Dogtra Remote Training collars. During basic training, dogs are exposed to guns, birds, boats, decoys, and water.
Intermediate/Advanced Training Program
The intermediate/advanced level training is designed
to follow the basic training program. Concentrated obedience
work, along with force fetching and steady to retrieve,
is the focus at this stage. We also start beginning
lining drills and pattern work for handling. Tracking
game and quartering is also emphasized for upland hunting
and cripple finding. The advanced training sessions
focus on more pattern work for handling and eventually
blind-retrieves along with multiple marked retrieves.
To enhance your dog's marking ability, we use the Etch-marc
Remote Launcher System. |
